SELECTED WORKS
THESE WORKS SERVE AS INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE ARCHITECTURE OF HUMAN VALUES, AND THE VISCERAL MECHANICS OF ETHICAL CONTRADICTION.
Utilizing the potent materiality of oil, each piece confronts the inherent dissonance of the contemporary condition—transforming internal conflict into a commanding, unified visual architecture.
From the environmental inquiries of Space to the structural tension in Shaping the Edge, the practice remains a rigorous engagement with the tension of opposites. This dialogue continues in my current work, where the line serves as a discourse of division, utilizing the directness of oil sticks to navigate the productive power of uncertainty.
DIVISION OVER SPACE SERIES
This work marks the beginning of a new series that intentionally disrupts my long-standing approach to space and form. My practice has been grounded in the belief that nature contains no lines—only gradients, transitions, and shifts in value through space and time. Form emerges through continuity, without fixed edges.
In Division Over Space, that flow is purposefully interrupted. Using oil sticks, I impose crayon-like lines onto space as deliberate interventions. These blunt, hand-driven marks fracture organic continuity, introducing reckless, human-made divisions into environments shaped by transition. The series examines how power, distance, and control disrupt what would otherwise remain fluid, natural, and in motion.
